Here you will find information on the legal situation in Germany and the Hamburg Business Mediation Centre.

The Mediation Centre is part of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. The Hamburg Chamber of Commerce stands for more than 340 years of tradition and is a centre of competence for business affairs.

The German Mediation Act ("Mediationsgesetz") was enacted on 26th July 2012. The Mediation Act mainly describes the demands for Mediation, the role and duties of the mediator, and initial training standards.

The Hamburg rules of Mediation for economic conflicts govern Mediation proceedings for voluntary, extrajudicial conflict resolution. Our rules of procedure explain how this procedure works.

Our rules on fees  set in advance the range of the hourly and daily fees. Hourly fees vary from 150 to 350 € and daily fees from 1,200 to 2,800 €. VAT is not included. The costs are usually split between the parties.

On our website you will find an online panel with approximate 100 mediators. If requested we will of course assist in finding you the right mediator.
